The Methodist Boerne Medical Center Scholarship
February 5th, 2007Dear Student,
The first phase of Methodist Boerne Medical Center will open to medical professionals in just a few short weeks, bringing specialists in the area of oncology, radiology, internal medicine, oral and maxillofacial surgery and others closer to Boerne residents and the surrounding communities. By the end of this year, a comprehensive emergency center will open to provide round-the-clock care. Subsequent phases of the Methodist Boerne Medical Center may include outpatient surgical services, additional physician offices and ultimately a planned 50- to 100-bed hospital.
As technological advances help to extend the life expectancy of Americans, there is a growing need for health care professionals in every field from physicians to nurses to laboratory and radiology technicians. In an effort to meet the health care demands of the future, we wish to encourage young people to seek careers in health care. That’s why we are offering a $1,500 scholarship to two class of 2007 students from Boerne High School who plan to pursue a health career. An application, transcript and essay are required and must be postmarked by March 9, 2007. Scholarship recipients will be notified shortly thereafter.
Please submit your application, transcript and essay to:
