Vanguard Christian Institute Student Appreciation

July 10th, 2007

The principal of Vanguard Christian Institute, Dr. Walter H. Tracy, Jr. wrote a letter of appreciation from the school and students that will benefit from the donation of fill materials which were excavated from Methodist Boerne Medical Center site. The dirt from the excavation will be used to finish a memorial baseball/football field in memory of former students Jessica James Tannenbaum and Jonathan Hsu.

Methodist Healthcare is commited to helping our citizens. Methodist Boerne Medical Center strives to serve the Boerne community and is happy that we could help finish the school’s long awaited sports field.

Sherriff’s Acadamy Graduate, JoDee Kerestes

July 6th, 2007

JoDee Kerestes, Methodist Healthcare Senior Physician Representative, attended the “Citizen’s Sherriff’s Academy” to learn how to enhance community relationships with the sherriff’s office. The academy gives participants a better understanding of the values, organization and operations of the sherriff’s department. After attending the ten week course, JoDee and other Boerne residents graduated on May 22, 2007. Congratulations to all the graduates reported in Hill Country View!

Construction Milestone reached

July 2nd, 2007

We have reached another construction milestone - raising structural steel. If you have had a chance to drive by Methodist Boerne Medical Center you may have noticed a crane and a flurry of activity. It is full speed ahead! After the last beam is erected the exterior shell will be constructed.

Now that the Methodist Boerne Medical Center is complete, we are “going vertical” on Methodist Boerne Emergency Center.
