Methodist Boerne Emergency Center Supports Light the Night Walk

Methodist Boerne Emergency Center is a proud supporter of the 2007 Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night 5k walk/run on October 27 at the San Antonio Sunken Garden Theatre.
Check-in 5:00 p.m.
Walk Start 6:30 p.m.

The Society funds lifesaving cancer research that has contributed to major advances in the treatment of blood cancers and many other types of cancer treatments such as chemotherapy and stem cell transplants that have prolonged and enhanced the lives of patients. New targeted therapies that kill cancer cells without harming normal tissue have already begun to provide drugs and procedures that are improving quality of life.

August Consturction “Fast Facts”

With the good August weather construction is coming along!

  • Insulation: 95% complete
  • Roofing: dry-in complete
  • Interior Wall Framing: substantially complete
  • Electrical Conduit Rough-in: substantially complete
  • Electrical Wire: starting to pull conductors
  • Medical Gas: 80% complete
  • Plumbing Rough-in: substantially complete
  • HVAC medium pressure ductwork: substantially complete
  • Fire Sprinkler Pipe Rough-in: 95% complete

July Construction Progress

August 1st, 2007

Work progress to date includes substantially completing the elevated lab and erecting structural steel for the 15,805 SFED. Work has started on the building envelope including exterior wall framing, framing of the roof parapet, and installation of the roofing system. Inside the building work has started on the rough-in of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems including roof drains, vents, ductwork, junction boxes, and conduit. Headwalls have been laid out and junction boxes have been installed with conduit for nurse-call and code-blue systems, patient monitor systems, and life-safety and critical power outlets.
