Methodist Boerne Medical Center CEO Dean Alexander presents a $5,000 check to Agnes Hubbard, Executive Director of Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries at the organization’s ribbon cutting in October. The monies will help with their ongoing programs to help the underprivileged in the community.
Stephanie Fritz has joined the Methodist Boerne Emergency Center and Methodist Stone Oak Hospital teams as a human resources recruiter. Stephanie has seven years of experience in recruiting talented employees and previously worked for Accenture, Dell Computers, and MCI Worldcom. Stephanie graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Stephanie’s goal will be to find the best and brightest candidates for a variety of positions within each facility. Methodist Boerne Emergency Center will open in January 2008 as the Boerne area’s first 24/7/365 emergency treatment facility.
Methodist Stone Oak Hospital will open in the spring of 2009 as the first Hospital of the Future.

Staffing for the Boerne Emergency Department continues to progress with 11 of 42 employees hired and 11 more going through the interviewing process.
Methodist Boerne Medical Center is happy to announce Kendall County EMS Medical Director, Dr. Ken Styskal, as the Medical Director for the Boerne Emergency Department.
The Emergency Department is scheduled to open January 21, 2008.
Work progress to date includes substantially completing the roof, stucco, framing, drywall, taping and floating of walls, ductwork, medical gas and above ceiling piping. Major system components have been delivered and installed including the air terminal units, air handler unit, chiller, electrical panels, transformers, automatic transfer switch, and emergency generator. October will see the completion of work in progress including our 30 foot tall retaining wall, excavation, haul-off, site utilities, prime painting, ceiling grid and masonry.
The Emergency Center is scheduled to open January 21, 2008.
